Riddle of Bilbo
An eye in a blue face
Saw an eye in a green face.
"That eye is like to this eye"
Said the first eye,
"But in low place
Not in high place."

Sounds to me like a reflection of the sun in water, the blue face being sky, the green face earth.
ReplyDeleteGood guess and I wonder if Gollum or Bilbo would have accepted it. Bilbo was going for sun on a daisy.
