A. The number of false statements here is one.
B. The number of false statements here is two.
C. The number of false statements here is three.
D. The number of false statements here is four.
Which of the above statements is true?
I'm posting one puzzle, riddle, math, or statistical problem a day. Try to answer each one and post your answers in the comments section. I'll post the answer the next day. Even if you have the same answer as someone else, feel free to put up your answer, too!

C
ReplyDeletewhy C?
ReplyDeleteis it C????
ReplyDeleteIt is C, since there's no other way only one of the statements could be true.
ReplyDeleteIf A is true, then only one statement is false. But If A is true, then B, C and D are all false.
If B is true, then two statements are false, but A, C and D are all false.
If D is true, then D is also false.
So the only one that works is C. Nice job Andy.
Thank you! So what strategy is this? Guess and Check.. Or?
