AMON L'ISA
O, DRACONIAN DEVIL!
OH, LAME SAINT!
SO DARK THE CON OF MAN
For those of you have read the book, this won't be challenging. But I found them interesting.
I'm posting one puzzle, riddle, math, or statistical problem a day. Try to answer each one and post your answers in the comments section. I'll post the answer the next day. Even if you have the same answer as someone else, feel free to put up your answer, too!

SO DARK THE CON OF MAN - Ciccone on ice?
ReplyDeleteso dark the con oN man. There is no letter 'F' in "Madonna".
DeleteThe Phrase in the book is "So Dark the con OF Man" and is used properly if one renders the title of DaVinci's painting, as some do, "Madonna of the Rocks". However, Brown misuses it because the normally recognized title is "VIRGIN of the Rocks".
