Five hundred begins it, five hundred ends it,
Five in the middle is seen;
First of all figures, the first of all letters,
Take up their stations between.
Join all together, and then you will bring
Before you the name of an eminent king.
I'm posting one puzzle, riddle, math, or statistical problem a day. Try to answer each one and post your answers in the comments section. I'll post the answer the next day. Even if you have the same answer as someone else, feel free to put up your answer, too!

a man after God's own heart...
ReplyDeleteDAVID
ReplyDeleteAs way of explanation (if it wasn't obvious) - D is the roman numeral for 500, V is the numeral for 5, the first of all numbers (again in roman numerals is I) and the first of all letters (in the roman alphabet) is A. In the order we suggested we get DAVID or DIVAD.
ReplyDeleteLong live King DIVAD
I love it when someone comes along and does such a great job of explaining the question and answer. It not only makes my job easier, it also makes it worthwhile.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
