I'm posting one puzzle, riddle, math, or statistical problem a day. Try to answer each one and post your answers in the comments section. I'll post the answer the next day. Even if you have the same answer as someone else, feel free to put up your answer, too!

presumably we're supposed to be tricked into to thinking it's half of four, but this owuld only be true if it was
ReplyDeletehalf of (2+2)
since it's half of 2 + 2, half of 2 is 1, 1+2=3
3 is my answer
How do we find out what the right answer is?
ReplyDeleteHi Renar77, thanks for reading. Every day I go back and post the answer to yesterday's question. So today's question will get the 'official' answer tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteUnless, of course, I'm wrong in which case someone usually points that out to me ;-)
I really do appreciate it when people do correct me, btw. First, I like the controversy. It's part of the fun of posting riddles and logic puzzles. But mostly, I just want to make sure the right answer shows up.
3 is the answer I was going for. I don't know if I made it too obvious that there was a trick to the question or not. But I figured you would all be looking for a trick because of where you were looking anyways.
ReplyDeletewell I say it's -2,
ReplyDeletewe have '2 + 2' we need half of that but the '+' cannot be shared so since '2+2 = 2- -2'
therefor, half of 2+2 is -2
:D
