Palindromic event... Is that a real word?
There was a very significant palindromic event that took place a five years ago in February in many other parts of the world, but not in the United States. This event occurred at two minutes after eight on the evening of the 20th. Can you figure out what this palindromic event was?

In Europe, as in many other parts of the world, they write the date with the day first, then the month, then the year.
ReplyDeleteNumerically, Feb 2, '02, would translate into:
20/02/2002
The next time this event will occur:
21/02/2012
yes, but it was also 8:02 pm, aka 20:02 in military time, thus:
ReplyDelete20:02 20/02/2002
Thanks tamara, I was so enraptured by getting the dat correct, I forgot about the time.
ReplyDeleteNice job Tamara, putting it all together. It's great to see some teamwork!
ReplyDeleteAs Tamara and Mr Don pointed out, when written in the 24 hour time, plus the day of the month/month gives you
20:02 20/02, 2002.
In the US it was just 8:02 02/20, 2002
