Hmm, tough one.
ReplyDeleteThat second one...I'll tell you what it reminds me of. Certain orthodox religious groups tends to walk in that pattern, where the males (reprsent by the jack and the king) walk several paces ahead of everybody else (the women and children, as represented by the queen and all the numbered cards).
I very much doubt that's what you were shooting for---just what popped into my head.
Mike, I'm participating in the Summer of Compliments and I wanted to send one your way.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy going to your blog to try out the puzzles, I even get some of them. Please keep up the good work.
Jon, I really appreciate the compliment and I have to say today got a little bit better.
ReplyDeleteAndy, uhhh... that's not what I was going for... ;-)
Looks like the bottom is a jack and a king short of one heck of a straight in a game of rummy. The top probably represents the Tele show "3rd rock from the sun"
ReplyDeleteIs the first one the Earth?
ReplyDelete2nd one I have no idea.
I could be way off, but it almost looks like the second is from a card game. Jacks trump, followed by king, then the other cards. That doesn't seem quite right, though.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is the third rock from the sun (i.e. Earth, or that TV show).
ReplyDeleteThe second one was harder. It's Hijacking... Get it... High, Jack, King?
Is this thing on? ;-)
You Goober.
ReplyDeleteWhat, you didn't like my joke? ;-)
ReplyDeletei'd have to say 'highjacking' is pretty good...certainly would be worthy of this class of puzzle.
ReplyDeleteOh, so now I'm getting it from all sides, huh?
ReplyDelete;-)
