Odd Balls

You have nine tennis balls and four shopping bags. Your job is to put all the balls in the bags such that there is an odd number of balls in each bag. That is, each bag must contain 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 balls.

  1. put all nine balls in one bag and then put that bag into the 2nd bag, those two bags into the 3rd bag and all three bags into the 4th bag.

  5. There are many solutions to this problem, but they all involve putting at least one bag inside of another one. Well done Sean for pointing it out!

For instance, you can put three balls in three bags, then put one of the bags inside the fourth one (or put all three in the fourth one).
